Niseko In-House Dining is a small team of dedicated professionals, passionate about Hokkaido and Japanese food, as well as the people who make it. We are inspired by one goal: bringing food, warmth and happiness into the homes and chalets of Niseko visitors and local residents.

Niseko In-House Dining caters as well for your wellbeing events such as Yoga Retreats, Happy Fasting & Juicing, Vegetarian & Vegan Cooking Workshops.

Founder Yuriko Yamada worked as food editor at the legendary Tokyo publishing house, Shibata Shoten, and after a stint as food editor at Time Out Tokyo, went on to author her cookbooks. She has appeared as guest host on the Discovery Channel TV show, The Flying Winemaker. In 2017 in Tokyo, she served as a food expert for the famous culinary TV program, MasterChef Australia.

Syv Bruzeau is now carrying on Niseko In-House Dining tradition. Born in France, Syv has been extensively traveling and living abroad, following her curiosity to experience different cultures. Her passion for food led her to open a number of restaurants in Hanoi and Bangkok, manage a Japanese-French Kaiseki restaurant in Singapore as well as learn the art of handmade soba.  She enjoys providing joy through food and stories, and will bring her knowledge to help you appreciate the wonderful ingredients of the region.

Syv is also a Butoh dancer and finds inspiration in the beautiful nature of Hokkaido. Last year she published her first book, ‘Standing Naked in Front of You’, and a poetry book is on its way.

Niseko In-House Dining loves Hokkaido nature and care for the people who call it home. Whenever possible, our vegetables come from local and/or organic farms in order to support the local economy and organic farmers. Niseko In-House Dining is a tree planter as well, and is planting trees in the area for present and future generations to enjoy.

Make an inquiry today with the contact form if you wish us to cater for your special events ...or if you want a tree.
