Niseko In-House Dining is a group of dedicated professionals inspired and united by one goal: bringing food, warmth and happiness into the homes and chalets of Niseko visitors and local residents.

Founder Yuriko Yamada is a passionate foodie in many genres. She worked as food editor at the legendary Tokyo publishing house, Shibata Shoten, and after a stint as food editor at Time Out Tokyo, went on to author a wide variety of cookbooks pictured as below. She has appeared as guest host on the Discovery Channel TV show, The Flying Winemaker, as well as guide to the local Tokyo food scene for the program World Nomads. In 2017, she served as a food expert and fixer for the world famous culinary TV program, MasterChef Australia, when the 9th season was filmed in Japan.

From 2017/2018 winter season, Syv Bruzeau will carry on the Niseko In-House Dining tradition. Born in France, Syv has been extensively traveling and living abroad, following her curiosity to experience different cultures. Her passion for food led her to open a number of restaurants in Hanoi and Bangkok, to manage a Japanese-French Kaiseki restaurant in Singapore and to learn the art of handmade soba.   She enjoys providing joy through food, and will bring her considerable knowledge to bear to help you to appreciate the wonderful ingredients of the region.

Syv is also a Butoh dancer and finds inspiration in the beautiful nature of Hokkaido.
